ここ数年、毎年のように見に行っている南阿蘇の一心行の大桜を見に行って来ました。
花見の時期になるとRKK熊本放送のページで開花の状況が分かるので、ここのページで確認して見に行く日を決めました。
We visited Great Cherry Tree of Fervent Asceticism (isshingyo no ozakura) in Minami-Aso in Kumamoto prefecture, where I visit to see every spring these several years.
RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting provides a live camera view of the tree around the cherry blossom season. I checked this page and decided when to visit it.

せっかく熊本に来たのであれば熊本ラーメンを食べようと味千ラーメン菊陽バイパス店に寄りました。
We dropped by a ramen shop Ajisen to eat Kumamoto ramen since we came all the way to Kumamoto.

現地に到着して気づいたことがありました。去年（2010年）までは確か、駐車場代500円が徴収されていたのですが、今年は入場料一人300円を徴収されるようになってしました。
I notced one thing when I arrived. If I remember correctly, we had to pay 500 yen for parking till last year(2010), but there was no parking fee this year but there was an entrance charge instead, 300 yen per person.
その入場料を支払い中に入りました。
We paid the charge and went in.
目的の大桜が見えます。
There's the tree we came to see.
満開の時期を確認してきただけあって、綺麗に咲き乱れています。
The cherry blossom is beautifully in full bloom as I checked.
桜の周りには木製の遊歩道があり、そこから桜を近くに見られるようになっています。（逆にそれ以上近づくことはできません。）
There's a wooden passage around the tree, where you can take a close look at it. (You can't get any closer than that.)
大桜の南側には菜の花が植えてありこちらも綺麗に咲いています。
There are rape blossoms on the south of the cherry tree, which are also beautifully in bloom.

桜だけでなく菜の花も日光に映えています。
The rape blossoms look bright in the sun as well as the cherry blossoms.
桜と菜の花を合わせて収めて見ました。
I took a shot of both the cherry and the rape blossoms.
青空と桜の桃色と菜の花の黄色が対照的です。
The colors of the blue sky, the pink cherry and the yellow rape are contrasting.
東側から撮った写真です。
This is the picture from the east side.
空気が澄んでいるためでしょうか、御竈門山（地図で名前を調べました）がくっきりと見えます。
Is it because the sky is unclouded that Mt. Okamado is clearly seen?
帰りに熊本城をちょこっと見て熊本を去りました。
We went to see Kumamoto Castle before we left Kumamoto.
