あまりにも天気がいいので、とても屋内に引きこもっていられず、八女まで見頃の梅を見に行くことにしました。

都市高速と九州道で谷川梅林に向かいました。梅林付近には「夢たちばな観梅会」の催し用の進入禁止の標識が置いてあり、その先に梅林があることが分かりましたが、どこに駐車すればいいのかが分からず、少し離れたところに見つけた公園に駐車して梅林に歩いて向かいました。
I drove on the urban expressway and Kyushu expressway to Tanigawa apricot grove. There were "No Entry" signs near the grove temporarily put for "Yume Tachibana Baienkai(Dreamy Tachibana apricot blossom viewing festival)" but I didn't know where to park. I found a parking lot in a park a little away and walked to the grove.
付近に提示してある地図を元に細い路地を上って行くと梅林が見えて来ました。
As I walked up a narrow alley according to the maps shown in the area, I saw ume groves up above.
ここがその梅林の場所です。
This is the place.

梅林の手前には広場があり見学者が駐車した車が数台ありました。離れた公園に駐車しなくとも、梅林のすぐ下に駐車できました。（けれどもこの場所は観梅会が始まると露店が出るので駐車できなくなるでしょう。）
Below the groves, there was an open space, where several cars were parked by visitors. I could park the car right below the groves without choosing a distant place. (This place will no longer be available as a parking lot because there will be stalls there during the festival.)
くっきりと澄んだ青空です。
The blue sky is very clear.
満開です。
Apricot blossoms are in full bloom.
ワインセラーがあり、その前に観梅会の横断幕が張ってあります。
There is a banner of the festival and a wine cellar behind it.
ワインセラーの入り口です。
This is the entrance of the wine cellar.
バンドなどの演奏のための舞台があります。
There's a stage for bands or singers to play or sing on.
この近くに赤紫色の花の梅が綺麗に咲いていました。
There was an apricot tree with beautiful reddish violet blossoms near there.

舞台の近くにトンネルがあります。
There's a tunnel near the stage.
トンネルを通ってみます。
I started to go through the tunnel.
トンネルの中です。
This is in the middle of the tunnel.
天井はかなり高かったです。
The ceiling was fairly high.
トンネルの向こう側にも別の梅林があります。
There are other apricot groves on the other side of the tunnel.
坂道を登っていきます。
I go up the slope.
ここから梅を見ていると、枝をメジロがうろちょろしているのが見えました。
I noticed there were mejiro(Japanese white-eyes) in the branches while viewing the apricot blossoms from here.
近づいてみると、一つの木に十羽くらいいるようでした。
There seemed about 10 of them per tree when I took a closer look.
様子を撮ろうとしましたが、動きまわって中々姿が収まりません。
I failed to take a picture of them several times because they didn't stay still.
花びらの奥にいるのを取れました。
I caught one behind blossoms.
お顔を撮ることができました。名前の通り、目の周りが白いのが分かります。
I caught the face. You can see the white circle around the eye as its name goes "whilte-eye".
花の後ろになっていない状態で取れました。背中ですが。
I caught it not behind blossoms, though on the back.
枝の向こうですが、顔を収められました。
I was able to catch the face over a branch.
澄んだ青空、林のモスグリーン、梅の薄いピンク、草の緑の対比が好きです。
I like the contrast of clear sky blue, moss green of the tree leaves, faint pink of the ume blossoms and the grass green.
この丘の上にある神社にお参りに行きました。
I visited the shrine on the top of the hill.

梅林のふもとに戻って来ました。
I came back again down the hill.
車を駐車した公園にあった梅も撮ってみました。

これから昼食を食べに移動しました。
